Feeling Overwhelmed

There are some days where we have so much on our plates and we start to feel overwhelmed. When we start feeling overwhelmed then our anxiety gets high and can turn into a panic attack which none of us want. When you start to feel overwhelmed do this check list:

  1. Relax shoulders
  2. Three breaths
  3. Do a body scan
  4. List top 3 priorities
  5. Take a break
  6. Go for a walk
  7. Adjust schedule
  8. Ask for help

Once we do this check list we should feel more relaxed and calm, you can also use this check list when feeling panic or anxious.

  1. Dearest Becca, love your blog and this post! ♥ You are 100% right — it’s easy to get overwhelmed and begin to feel that all too familiar feeling of anxiety. It’s a vicious cycle too; one that snowballs quickly!

    Your eight points on this list are exactly what I do when I’m feeling this way. Great minds must think alike, huh? 😀 Thanks for the reminder to just breathe, trust God and go for that walk! If we don’t take care of ourselves – we are no good for anyone else. This life can throw us some real challenges sometimes. Knowing when to let go and just ‘rest’ is the very best key to success.

  2. Hi Becca. This is well said. Sometimes we forget to do the basics and take a deep breath, analyze over stress meters and take a walk. This is a wonderful reminder that if we continue to stay overwhelmed we will get no where. Thank you for reminding us. There is nothing wrong with asking for help.
